Home Visits
In certain cases we may be able to offer you the support of a family advisor who will meet with you in person. They may come to your home or a location of your choosing and create a plan with you to meet your needs.
This work can include information gathering, peer support, advice on deaf-friendly communication skills, managing hearing technology all while teaching you how to cue. They can also give ongoing support to help you use these skills with your deaf child. Siblings and wider family members are also welcome to join in.
Nursery and School Support
If we are working with a family whose child is preparing for or attending nursery or school, with your permission we can contact the staff in that centre and offer them information, advice, training, and support, sometimes this work can be done without cost to that service.
